PayGate, opening safe Money Transfer Channel from Korea to Japan 

PayGate announced on 10th that it is in partnership with Queen Bee Capital to launch remittance service from Japan.

Queen Bee Capital, established in 2007, is a company that provides remittance services in Japan and is headquartered in Tokyo. In 2017, Queen Bee Capital formed a partnership with PayPal, a U.S. remittance service company, for the U.S. remittance, followed by a partnership with PayGate in March 2019.

An officer from PayGate said, “Queen Bee Capital's services do not require a separate exchange. Besides, Queen Bee Capital offers free transfer fees to more than 600,000 customers.”

For PayGate's service, the limitation on personal transmission has been limited to 1 million KRW per transfer, 3 millions KRW per day, and 30 millions KRW per year. For business remittance, the amount limit is around 10 millions KRW per transfer.

"Although the remittance service from Japan to Korea has been in high demand, the business of cross border payments from Japan to Korea has not been widely promoted, which makes the start of collaboration between PayGate and Queen Bee to meet the demands in the remittance service. We plan a stable standard of international remittance service between Korea and Japan through the cooperation with Queen Bee Capital," said Ms. Soyeong Park, CEO of PayGate.

페이게이트, 엔화 송금서비스 오픈 “韓-日 안정적 송금서비스 제시”

페이게이트는 일본 송금 사업자 ‘퀸비’와 손잡고 엔화 송금 서비스를 오픈한다고 10일 밝혔다.


지난 2007년 설립된 퀸비는 일본 내 외국인으로 하는 소액외화 송금 서비스 기업으로, 본사는 도쿄에 위치해 있다. 퀸비는 지난 2017년 미국의 송금서비스 업체인 페이팔과 미국 송금을 위한 파트너십을, 지난 3월에는 페이게이트와 파트너십을 체결한 바 있다.

페이게이트 관계자는 “퀸비의 서비스는 현지에서 엔화로 입금하면 자동으로 환전·송금하기 때문에 별도의 환전이 필요없다”며 “퀸비는 현재 60만 명이 넘는 소비자에게 송금 수수료를 무료로 서비스하고 있다”고 설명했다.

현재 페이게이트는 1회 100만원, 1일 300만원, 연간 3,000만원 이내의 금액을 별도 증빙없이 쉽고 저렴하게 송금을 진행할 수 있는 송금서비스를 제공하고 있다. 법인 고객의 경우 1회 송금한도는 약 1,000만원이다.

박소영 페이게이트 대표는 “그동안 한국향 소액 송금 서비스에 대한 수요가 높아져 왔지만 크게 활성화되지 못했다”며 “이러한 수요에 대응하기 위해 퀸비와 함께 한국향 원화 송금 서비스를 시작하게 됐다”고 설명했다. 이어 “퀸비와 함께 선보이는 이번 소액 송금 서비스를 통해 한일간 안정적인 해외송금 서비스의 표준안을 제시할 수 있을 것”이라고 전망했다.
