PayGate cooperates with Tencent Wechat Pay for payment service.

Paygate announced on the 15th that it provides the mini-program of payment service with Wechat Pay for China online purchasers.

WeChat mini-program offers a variety of services in WeChat Messenger with no need to download a separate app. Since the service launched in 2017, more than 1 million services have been released in various fields covering from commerce to O2O, such as  shopping, taxi and shared bicycles.

Cross-border business becomes an important subject in Korean IT companies with the growth of the mini-program. Creating an online shopping mall will meet a lot of difficulties such as owning an authorized Chinese ICP, but if you use WeChat mini-program to create a shopping app, the process will become much easier.


"Drugs and Health," the first registered franchise using the payment service between PayGate and Wechat Pay, is now able to receive the settled KRW payments quickly and conveniently from Chinese customers who use shopping malls in mini-program. Mr. Jae-won Cho, director of PayGate's global marketing team, said, "We are focusing on cross-border payment between Korea and China. We expect that PayGate will grow significantly along with the fast development of mini-program."

PayGate, which is going to list its merger with SK3 HOSPAC, is the pioneer of Fintech business that provides API platform, “Seyfert,” and works with global clients and partners for cross-border credit card payment, foreign currency remittance, and P2P lending business. PayGate also plays as the business representative in Korea for the major Chinese companies such as Alibaba and Suning.

 Neoprame, a securities solution company, announced that it will join hands with Paygate to build a platform specializing in asset trading.
